Our client is a rapidly growing construction company and is currently seeking experienced Commercial Plumbers to join their team. In this position, the Commercial Plumbers will be responsible for all aspects of the installation, maintenance, inspection, operation and repair of the plumbing systems and fixtures in commercial, industrial buildings and will work in cooperation with HVAC to ensure that all specifications, policies are met, and to ensure efficient completion of any project. Experienced and qualified individuals are encouraged to apply. A Plumber's License is REQUIRED.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance of plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings
  • Respond to plumbing calls from our general contracting team
  • Install plumbing systems in new construction and rehab properties
  • Work with our Expeditor to obtain permits for plumbing work to be performed
  • Adhere to current rules and regulations related to plumbing so that systems pass inspection the first time
  • Layout, assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, equipment, and fixtures of heating, cooling, domestic water, air, drainage systems, and gas according to company standards, specifications, and plumbing or mechanical code.
  • Test pipes and fixtures using water and air to detect deficiencies.
  • Safely measure, cut, thread, glue, solder, braze, and slope pipes composed of various materials
  • Install hangers and supports for all plumbing systems
  • Other Duties as directed
  • HS diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Associate degree preferred but not required
  • Blueprint reading and interpretation experience preferred
  • 5+ years commercial plumbing industry experience
  • Current State registered plumbing license required
  • Ability to work with most commercial plumbing applications
  • Solid understanding of codes
  • In-depth knowledge of maintenance and repairs of plumbing systems
  • Understanding of the current regulations within the field
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills on a technical level
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to fabricate offsets
  • Safe working knowledge of all hand and power tools
  • Able to do basic take offs
  • Able to install equipment
  • Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy
  • Obtain required personal hand tools
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Work off of ladders and at heights for an entire work shift
  • Must have a satisfactory driving record, criminal record, and be able to pass a drug screen
