Seeking a Human Resources Generalist to be responsible for the following duties:

  • Assist with recruitment, screening and selection of candidates for various positions and employment types
  • Provides support with staffing of temporary labor for all business units
  • Assisting in preparing and maintaining job descriptions for assigned business unit to ensure compliance with internal operating procedures and federal requirements including OSHA standards
  • Prepares all non-exempt and exempt offer letters, and other required paperwork for employee status changes for assigned business unit under the direction of the Vice President of Human Resources
  • Responsible for the planning and execution of job fairs and mass hiring events including college recruitment efforts. Coordinates participation in job fairs and provides information on company and job opportunities to potential applicants for all business units
  • Responsible for distributing standard monthly reporting to assigned business unit specific to recruitment, employee relations, and retention including turnover and exit summary data
  • Maintains current knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments and applicable laws regarding human resources.  Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment
  • Assist with management of the companywide new hire program and business unit induction planning.  Responsible for managing the schedule, updating instructor guide and participant material, arranging and facilitating orientation and training of newly hired employees in conjunction with the Vice President Resources
  • Ensures accurate tracking and reporting Equal Employment Opportunity data to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local laws, statutes and regulations
  • Collects and maintains HR data related to compensation, benefits, training, recruitment, etc. to help make recommendations for improvement
  • May prepare internal employee communications regarding compensation, benefits, or company policies
  • Responsible for overseeing internal procedures for all lifecycle records to ensure data integrity of ADP System
  • Administers Gaming Control Registration for all employees and contractors, processes registration and creates monthly reports required by GCB under the supervisor of Vice President of Human Resources
  • Acts as a role model for other employees, always performing in compliance with Human Resource and organization policies and codes of conduct
  • Maintains basic knowledge of employment law regulations regarding Human Resource functions and confidentiality
  • Participates in staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars
  • Follow all lawful employer safety and health rules


Requirements include:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field required or equivalent experience / education
  • Minimum two to five years of Human Resources experience or related background.
  • Knowledge and understanding of current human resource management issues, trends, and industry best practices and developments. Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels within the organization. Strong negotiation, consultation, and problem-solving skills. Must be able to analyze problems and provide appropriate solutions. General knowledge of office equipment, able to perform basic clerical duties; must be highly confidential; computer literate, intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.  Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks; strong time management skills, ability to prioritize tasks.
