My client  provides specialized surface treatments, chemical finishing and non-destructive testing to the aerospace and defense industry. They hold processing approvals for every major air frame manufacturer and process parts for a base of over 600 customers worldwide.

This is a Trainee position in the CAD Plating Department. Employees in this position will learn to prepare and process parts in the CAD plating department 

Responsibilities  

  • Follow technique cards instructions to prepare and process parts through the department
  • Work closely with more advanced platers to complete work and prioritize tasks
  • Perform work with strong attention to quality of product
  • After training, will be responsible for giving instruction and guidance to assistants in the department
  • Review customer and paperwork for instructions
  • After training, will be responsible for making decision how to process product and identify areas of improvement

 



 

  • Standing for long periods of time in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.  Use of safety equipment when necessary (goggles, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, etc.)
  • Often exposed to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English.  Specifically, applicants must be able to read and understand written purchase orders and paperwork
  • Detail oriented and have the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Experience in a metal finishing, manufacturing or aerospace production environment are preferred.  Prior plating experience is highly desired
  • Candidates must be able to demonstrate longevity in previous work experience
  • Must be a US citizen  

 

Must be able to pass drug testing & background checking
