The Supervisor will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:
Must have strong injection molding skills as well as supervisory and people skills. Technical
skills are a plus but not required.
Responsible for all shift operations including but not limited to directing, instructing, and
training employees on proper methods and procedures.
Will be accountable for monitoring cycle timing, regulating costs, rejects, and scrap.
Ability to meet specific schedules, quality levels and maintain cost scope, while always
ensuring that Health and Safety, Housekeeping and other policies and procedures are
adhered to.
Experience and familiarity with plastic injection materials.
Ensure counts of raw materials consumed, parts produced, and scrap is accounted for
during work hours and monthly inventory/cycle counts.
Examines product to determine assurance to company and customer specifications.
Interprets company policies, alerts, and communicates to employees and assists with
solving work problems.
Ability to troubleshoot and process an injection molding machine/press.
Understands how to properly shutdown injection mold machine/press and any other
equipment responsible for.
Follow standard operating procedures to ensure proper quality of work and efficiency.
Responsible for all aspects of daily production operations to include but not limited to
setting up injection molding machines according to work instructions, setup sheets, and in
a timely manner.
Training new individuals within the shift up to but not limited to 6-8 person(s)
Build a strong, motivated production team capable of consistently delivering high quality
products against aggressive production demands
Excellent organizational skills and attention to details
Manage and lead shift workers in their assigned areas until the next incoming shift.
Ensure correct production tracking methods are effective.
Communicate with other shift personnel on changes or issues relating to the
manufacturing floor.
Responsible for following daily task list for completion in a timely manner.
Responsible for ensuring all manufacturing personnel are following all safety procedures.
Ensure safety incident reports are completed for all incidents: accident, injury, near miss,
etc.
Maintain all mold setting equipment are always clean and usable
Follow all rules and regulations set forth in company policies and Safety Instructions.
Must be dedicated in their job duties and complete other duties as assigned.

MUST HAVE Experience:
Plastic injection molding: 5-year (Required)
Supervisor role in injection molding: 2 years (Required)
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
Other experience:
ability to work independently and as part of a team while sustaining a positive environment
ability to read, write, and speak English accurately to clearly communicate and follow verbal
and written instructions along with preparing all necessary paperwork.
(basic) hand tools experience is required.
Able to understand mold/part drawings and dimensions
Analytic problem solving
Establish and maintain control of the shift for its continued success
Strong knowledge of injection molding set-up and processes required
Previous supervisory experience
Physical Demands:
To perform the essential functions of this job the employee MUST be able to do the
following:
o regularly stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, kneel, stoop, handle or feel
objects, tools, and/or controls.
o Lifting to 50lbs could be done on a regular or occasional basis.
o If items are extremely heavy, assistance will be needed either by one of the
following:
another person will help lift,
hand truck designed to move material,
forklift, OR
any other material handling equipment.
o Vision abilities needed to perform this job but not limited to close vision, distance
vision, color vision, and to be able to adjust focus.
o Physically able to climb and maneuver around the injection molding equipment.
Work Environment:
To perform the essential functions of this job the employee MUST be able to work near or
with the following regularly:
o moving mechanical parts
o noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
o weather permitting it can be very cold, hot, and humid.
