A Winston-Salem production facility is looking for several carpenters to start sometime in the next few weeks.
The hours are 7 a.M.-3: 30 p.M., and employees will need to be prepared to work overtime hours at any point in the week if and when work picks up.
Experience in trim carpentry, cabinet making or overall good overall carpentry is preferred. Employees will be working with various materials building auto displays.
Successful candidates will need to have experience in the following:
Trim Carpentry or Cabinet Making
Ability to work with all types of materials wood, plywood, laminate, MDF, etc.
Experience in spraying contacts
We are hiring anyone with experience from carpenter helpers all the way up to experienced carpenters.
Experience in trim carpentry, cabinet making or overall good overall carpentry is preferred. Employees will be working with various materials building auto displays.
Job duties:
-Fabricate cabinets, not just assemble them
-Measure, cut or shape wood, plastic or other materials
-Read a tape measure
-Read and follow blue prints
-Layout, cut and assemble wood components
-Operate a variety of wood working machines, as well as hand and power tools
-Build, repair, install items, such as cabinet, counter tops, shelving, moldings and partition walls
-Install hardware such as hinges, handles, catches, drawers, pulls & slides
Requirements:
Candidates Must have their own tools
-Be a go getter that is ready and willing to work
-Well versed in various finished work such a laminate, melamine and moldings
-Ability to follow written & verbal instructions
-Ability to work in a team environment
-Must be able to work OT
Experience in the following is preferred:
Dry wall
Painting
Flooring
Light plumbing
Candidates who have experience working with home departments or rough housework will be considered if they have the right skills. All candidates must be able to show a strong track record in safety in their work.
The work must be seamless, and the candidates must be extremely attentive to detail and show pride in their work.
