Video & Project Tech needed
Las Vegas, NV | Contract to Hire
Video Tech: Equipment, cleaning and organizing equipment, testing and trouble-shooting all equipment functions (this includes, camera video equipment, video projectors, switchers, image processors, screens and frames), the general repair and maintenance of the equipment, as well as maintaining a high level of quality control within the video department.
Project Tech: Installation, support and system service.
Video Tech: Good computer and customer service skills, demonstrated technical/electronics training or experience, basic knowledge of projection methods and components (converging, edge blending & video signal formats), basic understanding of electrical principles and rigging/mounting of video/projection equipment. In addition to, troubleshooting, and repair skills; the ability to work in a fast-paced environment without supervision; and a high school diploma or GED.
Project Tech: Responsibility to make sure that essential tasks are completed on time, within the estimated budget for the project and in compliance with contracted project specifications and requirements.knowledge of DMX, SACN, RDM and manufacturer specific lighting networking protocols, solid knowledge of electricity and electronics and experience working safely with hand and power tools.
Candidate must also be able to lift 75-100 lbs. and have the ability for critical visual detection and color balance.
This position is full time. A Bachelor’s degree in Technical Theatre or a similar field (or equivalent professional experience) is required. Production / Stagehand experience is preferred.
