Job Description
Our client has been serving the Aerospace, Defense, and Space industry for over sixty years. Working with parts on most of all aircraft for planes, helicopters, and spacecraft. They serve clients such as The US Army, Boeing, and Blue Origin ( Jeff Besos Aerospace spacecraft) The operators will use a variety of methods to process parts in preparation for plating and other coatings. The operators perform operations in accordance with Military and OEM specifications. Responsibilities Work closely with experienced Operators and Department Leads to complete work and prioritize tasks. Follow technique card, customer Purchase Orders, and instructions from experienced Operators and Department Leads; legibly sign off on work once completed and Operator Self Verification inspection has occurred. General review of paperwork and Operator Self Verification inspection of job to ensure all previous operations were completed. Notify the supervisor and Quality Assurance if any errors. Prepare parts prior to operations including mechanical or chemical cleaning; use proper tooling and fixtures, when applicable. Knowledge of pre and post-cleaning surface finish requirements. Work closely with higher level operators to complete work and prioritize tasks Sign off paperwork as required, Keep area clean and organized Preparation of parts prior to operations Be familiar with the safety precautions & know how to avoid injury to personnel Be involved in Kaizen events as needed either as a participant or supporter
Qualifications Ability to train others, Ability to write technique cards Ability to use/learn Lean Tools and techniques to solve tactical and strategic problems and issues arising in this position Must be able to pass drug testing and background testing Excellent accuracy with a strong attention to detail and demonstrated teamwork attitude Ability to multitask effectively, Ability to communicate well Candidates must be able to demonstrate longevity in previous work experience (Greencard, Birth certificate U.S passport)
