Our client is a Luxury textile company serving the interior design industry since 1979, specializing in high-end sheers, drapery, and upholstery. They distribute through design-trade showrooms throughout the country.

We are looking for an HR professional who can also work closely with the President of the company on his marketing and advertising material.

HR Responsibilities

  • Payroll- Maintain employee roster; input new hires, wage & salary changes
  • Organizing and filing HR materials, updating the personnel files, setting up benefit binders, and setting up an HR office
  • Review time cards and edit as needed
  • Input deductions and exemptions
  • Review pay and benefits-distribution check
  • Identify & record any attendance problems requiring address
  • Group Insurance coordination
  • Maintain group insurance roster
  • New hires/changes/terminations
  • Payroll deductions
  • Maintain the directory of services
  • Primary insurance contact
  • Keep all employee-related invoices and forms filed and secured
  • Update procedural steps where necessary
  • Produce and distribute the monthly corporate and showroom calendars

 

 Qualification

  • 10+ years of practical on-the-job experience
  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
  • Articulate with a clear voice and phone skills
  • Basic bookkeeping and math skills
  • Microsoft Publisher experience is a plus
