Full Job Description
-HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanic / Duct Installer: -
Install various types and sizes of sheet metal duct (Square, Round, Flex, Rectangle, Louvers, Fire-Dampers and Grills)
Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes.
Read and interpret blueprints and performs layouts per blueprints.
HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanic / Duct Installer Qualifications:
-Mechanical Duct Installer-
1+ years of verifiable commercial HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanic / Duct Installer experience Installing various types and sizes of sheet metal duct (Square, Round, Flex, Rectangle, Louvers, Fire-Dampers and Grills)
Fabricates Offsets onsite, using shears, hammers, punches, or drills.
Ability to safely work at heights and operate vehicles designed to work from heights (scissor, man lifts).
Install roof top units (RTUs) and curbs
Install Variable Air Volume (VAV) HVAC systems
-HVAC Pipe Fitter and Helper
Responsibilities for Pipefitters:
Select type and size of pipe and related materials according to job specifications.
Inspect worksites to determine obstructions and activities of other construction workers.
Assemble and install variety of metal and nonmetal pipe, including different types made of brass, copper, lead, and plastic.
Join piping by means of threaded, caulked, soldered, brazed, and flanged.
Secure pipes to structure with clamps, brackets, or hangers using hand tools.
Install and Pipe air-conditioning systems like compressors, pumps, meters,
pneumatic/hydraulic controls, and piping for Chillers and Boilers.
Test piping systems for leaks and observing gauges for indications of leaks.
-Requirements for Pipefitters:
Must have experience with pipefitting in the mechanical and HVAC industry.
Be familiar with cutting, bending, and welding tools/techniques.
Have a vast knowledge of systems or systems being installed and be able to interpret blueprints and visualize
