Job Description

Title: Laboratory Technician

Shift: 1st shift (7: 00am-4: 00pm), Mon-Fri, Some weekends as needed

Location: 18.5 Mile and Mound, Sterling Heights, MI

Pay: $19/hr

Job summary:

Maintain the equipment and lab facility; Support engineering team with new product launch processes.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Build bumpers, shock towers, parts, etc.

Organize parts coming in and shipments going out

Cleaning and maintaining the lab (5S)

Assist with GP12 and inspection

Instruct/train production employees on new processes

Operate machinery/equipment (saws, grinders, laser measuring device, CMM etc.)

Transport parts to/from other Sterling plants and prototype shops

Other tasks, as assigned by management

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

Able to read, write and speak English

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Excellent organization skills

Ability to work with basic tools

Forklift experience preferred
