Job Description
Our client is a worldwide leading diversified manufacturer of premium building products and related technology. We are hiring Machine operator/production workers who will operate or tend machines designed to cut expanded polystyrene blocks according to exacting standards of work order.
Job Responsibilities: ● Operate and perform basic troubleshooting of glue machines ● Fabricate all orders to customers specifications ● Set up, operate, and perform basic troubleshooting of laminators to include flying knives, and ensuring that each machine is pre-positioned with purchased material ● Follow daily work orders assigned to each lamination crew ● Package and load all orders properly and ensure the highest quality of the finished product ● Maintain accurate inventory of purchased goods and finished goods and keep everything organized
Job Requirements: ● Prior experience in a related manufacturing field up to two years preferred ● Able to use measuring gauges such as tape measures ● Understanding of basic math, reading, and writing skills ● Ability to effectively communicate ● Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations ● Equipment used ● This position uses the following equipment in the course of the job duties: laminator, press, tape measure, and radio
Working conditions: ● This position conducts their work in a manufacturing environment with some exposure to the outdoors; there is exposure to loud machinery, fumes, odors, and dust. Business is cyclical and will require flexibility in shift hours and days of the week worked.
