Responsible for overseeing all aspects of maintenance of the processing and production which include but not limited to electrical systems, refrigeration, machine shop and parts room inventory is maintained. This includes repairs on demand, preventive maintenance, machining of parts and equipment, purchasing parts and supplies, project planning, budget management, equipment selection, modification of equipment, maintaining of systems, follows standard operating procedures, provides leadership and coaching to his/her team, resolves problems and responds pro-actively to machine and equipment issues, hires and disciplines personnel, administers policy and procedure, evaluates employees, maintains a safe work environment, budget management, keeps supervisor informed of goals and problems and other duties and responsibilities as assigned. All Maintenance technicians report directly to this position.
Create and implement maintenance procedures.
Plan and manage all repair and installation activities.
Track expenses and oversee the budget for maintenance.
Maintain all machinery to ensure it s at working standards.
Assign repair schedules and evaluate repair cost estimates.
Supervise and lead all maintenance processes and operations.
Document and prepare daily progress reports and maintenance logs.
Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems.
Ensure all department workers adhere to the safety policies and procedures.
Oversee equipment stock and place orders for new supplies when necessary.
Maintain on-going relationship with current/new vendors to get the best quotes on parts, machinery and equipment to have in stock and ready for use/replacement.
