We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and supporting medical staff in various clinical tasks. This role requires an understanding of medical terminology and procedures, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome and prepare patients for comprehensive eye exams and minor ophthalmic procedures Assist ophthalmologists during evaluations, including dilation, vision testing, and tonometry Accurately document patient histories, symptoms, and vital signs Maintain clean, well-stocked exam rooms and ensure readiness of ophthalmic instruments Perform data entry and update electronic medical records (EMR) Provide occasional administrative support at the front desk as needed
What You Bring:
Prior experience in ophthalmology or optometry is a plus, but not required Working knowledge of medical terminology Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach Ability to multitask efficiently in a busy clinical environment Familiarity with EMR systems and basic documentation Dependable, detail-oriented, and collaborative team spirit
