We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our healthcare team. The Patient Care Technician will provide direct patient care and support to ensure the comfort and well-being of our patients. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Duties: - Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming - Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse - Collect specimens for laboratory testing - Assist with medical procedures under the supervision of healthcare professionals - Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records - Monitor patients' condition and report any changes to the healthcare team - Provide emotional support to patients and their families - Ensure patient safety by following infection control protocols - Perform administrative tasks, such as answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and managing medical records Experience: - Previous experience working in a healthcare setting preferred - Familiarity with phone systems and administrative tasks in a medical office - Knowledge of medical scheduling software (Epic, Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus - Understanding of HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality Skills: - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment - Attention to detail and accuracy in recording patient information - Compassionate and empathetic approach towards patients - Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team We offer competitive pay rates and comprehensive benefits packages for eligible employees.
