Job Description

Leading Manufacturer of Custom Wood Finished Products is seeking a Production Prep & Finisher to perform functions including sanding, drilling, cutting, finishing (staining) and reviewing quality of finished product.

This position works in a warehouse and production setting. This role routinely uses standard pneumatic tools - drills, sanders, nail gun, etc., and standard warehouse equipment such as forklift, box cutters and tape dispenser.

Work Schedule: 7am-5pm M-F Set Schedule, NO Weekends!

Starting Pay: $17/hr.

What will I be doing?:

Using power and hand sanders
Apply finish to product
Quality Inspect application before completion
Perform other tasks such as assemble and fasten materials to make framework or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue.
Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim, or hardware, using carpenter's hand and power tools.
Perform the levelling and trimming of doors using tools such as power sanders and planers.
Take measurements of wood materials to establish suitable dimensions for a finishing project
Engage in the staining and varnishing of wooden products and fixtures.
Install glass on doors.
Apply protective material on finished units.
Skills and Requirements:

Ability to read measuring tapes.
Must be able to follow directions for basic maintenance of equipment used.
Ability to meet physical demands as listed below.
Ability to work overtime as needed.
At least one year of prior carpentry experience.
Must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 75 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds.
