Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments.
Prepares items for shipment.
Assists production floor by assembling and staging tooling and raw materials in order to maintain production schedule.
Relieves production workers on machines during lunch and routine breaks.
Inventory control:
Assembles wood or cardboard or other packaging as required; labels same.
Monitors and keeps area clean in regard to scrap materials generated.
Receive goods by verifying count and validity of parts.
Examines outgoing shipments to verify shipments meet order specifications.
Operates forklift, ladders, manlift, pallet jacks.
Moves molds and ancillary production equipment from storage to work cell. Prepares incoming goods per job and delivers to work cell.
Moves finished goods from cell to prepare for final shipment or warehousing.
Removes tooling materials and excess goods when job is complete. Returns molds to storage; inventory items back to inventory.
Production assistant: Works on machines as required for forming and trimming parts per direction & training.
Maintains inventory of hand tools and expendable production materials.
Keeps plant facility clean; removes trash on schedule to coordinate with pickups. Moves rolling carts out each Thursday evening.
Each candidate must be well-rounded and able to multi-task, as well as be responsible for certain tasks. Plant can be very warm in summer with heat generating machinery and our Charleston weather. Plant can be very chilly in winter.
Typical hours are Monday through Thursday 7AM 5: 30. Now and then we must work on Fridays.
