Job Summary: Serving multiple tier one customers, the stamping press operator will be using progressive stamping machines to produce various small metal parts, changing their own dies, and assisting where needed. To be successful, we expect that all employees have stellar attitude, performance, and attendance.
Job Description:
Loading, setting up, programming and operating stamping presses to run progressive dies and produce quality product.
Change out/mount progressive stamping dies up to 125 ton presses, using a forklift when needed
Operates various machines that shapes metal or other materials.
Sets up the stamping press machine based on the information in a work order.
Performs machine troubleshooting.
Reads blueprints and other work orders, executing them precisely.
Affixes stickers, labels, etc. To production material.
Monitor & adjust speeds/feeds of material line.
Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions.
Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
Responsible to ensure all quality standards are met on all pieces produced.
Supports the assembly floor, including management and other operators.
Follows all safety guidelines and wears necessary PPE.
Uses quality inspection tools to ensure parts are processed correctly.
Fill outs all production reports, scrap reports, etc completely and accurately
Work within the established quality management system, follow all process instructions for standard work, and use proper methods for process improvements and changes.
Performs other duties as assigned by management/supervisors.
Requirements:
Must have previous stamping experience as a press operator/die setter.
Forklift experience (Forklift license preferred)
Ability to use hand tools and other equipment.
Ability to work independently as well as with teams.
Mechanically inclined and detail oriented.
Must be able to stand for up to 12 hours per day.
Must be able to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, and lift up to 50lbs unassisted.
Vision Requirements include depth perceptions and distinguishing between colors/materials.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Must be able to submit to a background check.
Must be able to pass a drug screening.
Ability to work weekends and over-time based on production needs.
