• Summary
• Performs repetitive mechanical assembly of simple electromechanical assemblies, mechanisms and systems in accordance with production/engineering specifications, sketches and/or verbal instructions.
• Responsibilities:
• Performs assembly work requiring a high degree of manual dexterity.
• Identifies and replaces or reports defective subassemblies.
• Performs repetitive mechanical assembly of simple electromechanical assemblies, subassemblies, mechanisms and systems in accordance with production/engineering specifications, sketches and/or verbal instructions.
• Uses tools and fixtures for precise locating and positioning of parts.
• Adjusts, aligns, and tightens using an air vise, hand tools, pneumatic tools, and drill presses. Drill presses currently only used in the WS Assembly line.
• Keeps track of inventory in work area, and notifies supervisor when material is needed.
• Observes and complies with all safety regulations and company policies.
• Other Responsibilities and Functions:

• Maintains clean, orderly, and safe work area.

• Education:
• High School or equivalent.
• Skills and Competencies:
• Knowledge of basic assembly processes.
• Quality conscious with the ability to meet productivity goals.
• Skills level is determined by Skills Matrix and Leveling Guide.
• Ability to read and understand verbal and written instructions, specifications, blueprints or sketches.
• Excellent communication skills including excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to maintain a high level of ownership and accuracy on all work activities.
• Ability to work in a positive manner with other associates within cell areas and develop and maintain. Strong working relationships across teams and disciplines.
• Work Environment:
• The work environment consists of an indoor industrial work environment with good ventilation, adequate lighting, and low noise levels.
