Overview
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Category Manager to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement category strategies that align with overall business objectives.
- Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement within assigned categories.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and compliance with company standards.
- Utilize Nielsen data and other market research tools to inform category decisions and enhance product offerings.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to streamline operations and reduce costs.
- Monitor category performance metrics and adjust strategies as necessary to achieve targets.
Requirements
- Proven experience in category management or a similar role within a retail or consumer goods environment.
- Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex information and make informed decisions.
- Experience in contract negotiation and supplier management is essential.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices.
- Familiarity with Nielsen or similar market research tools is preferred.
- Excellent financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets effectively.
- Strategic planning capabilities with a focus on long-term growth objectives.
