Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Commercial Overhead Door Technician to diagnose, service, and install a wide variety of commercial door systems and related equipment. This is a hands-on role ideal for mechanically inclined professionals who value safety, teamwork, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair commercial overhead doors and related equipment
Install new commercial door systems and components
Coordinate with the scheduling team to identify parts and resolve job issues
Safely travel to and work at customer job sites
Evaluate job requirements and perform service or installation efficiently
Work on a variety of systems, including:
Commercial garage door operators
Hinges, door sections, rolling steel doors, and torsion springs
Dock equipment and related hardware
Qualifications & Skills
Experience in commercial overhead door installation and repair
Strong mechanical aptitude with a safety-first mindset
Ability to read and interpret diagrams and technical documents
Welding and electrical experience preferred
Certifications (OSSA Fall Protection, First Aid, etc.) are a plus
Comfortable working from ladders and in varying weather conditions
Valid driver’ s license required
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (climbing, kneeling, bending)
Must pass drug screening
Able to work independently or as part of a team
