Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Heavy Equipment Technician to join a leading construction and machinery service team in the Tallahassee area. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy equipment used in construction, forestry, and material handling. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, electrical troubleshooting experience, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities: -Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on heavy equipment. -Perform preventative maintenance and ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently. -Use diagnostic tools and service manuals to identify and resolve complex mechanical issues. -Complete service documentation and maintain accurate maintenance records. -Collaborate with service coordinators and parts departments to ensure timely repairs. -Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications: -2+ years of experience in heavy equipment repair, diesel mechanics, or a related field. -Technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience preferred. -Proficiency with diagnostic software and modern service tools. -Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. -Must have a valid driver s license and reliable transportation. -Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
