Job Description

Safety Engineer - $76, 000-$80, 000 (Denver, CO)
Salary: $82K to 91K yearly
Mon-Fri (occasional weekend)

Responsibilities:
Reporting to Senior Safety Manager.
Communicate with various stakeholders including project owners, insurance carriers, and trade partners.
Enhance safety culture
Assist project team with safety start-up, program development, implementation, and management.
Work with project team to create and manage safety budget.
Oversee safety file system and documentation as well as maintaining project statistics data.
Participate in the six-step quality control/safety process including assisting with activity hazard analysis, and participating in follow-up inspections.
Work with the area superintendents on ways to control risk.
Conduct project safety training as needed and assist in developing the project safety training schedule.
Conduct project safety audits and assist in team audits
Knowledge of construction processes and the roles and responsibilities of all positions

Requirements:
A 4 year degree is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in safety on commercial construction projects.
CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) certification is encouraged.
Valid Driver License.
Strong communication skills
Knowledge of MS Office (excel, Teams), and Primavera
Able to lift up to 50 lbs
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers' compensation law, and environmental health standards.
