Customer Service Representative

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Greet customers that enter the facility with a positive and professional demeanor.
2. Evaluate and review documents presented by customers to ensure they meet specified requirements.
3. Verify customer requirements.
4. Assist customer in scheduling appointment.
5. Respond to customer inquiries or refer to on-site supervisor for additional assistance. Receives customers’ requests by telephone or mail, analyzes requests, provides information requested or ascertains who can best provide the information, and routes the request to the proper person.

6. Check in/out personnel arriving/departing MCAS New River facility
7. Answer phone calls.
8. Resolves customer questions related to appointments, correspondence and documentation, as needed.
9. Prepare basic correspondence.
10. Make copies of documents
11. Operate fax machine and /or multi-function device
12. Conduct other duties commensurate with customer service representative contractor.
13. Maintains liaison with Active Duty, Reservists, Retirees, Dependents, Civilians, and Contractor personnel.
14. Writes up order, mails catalog, samples, price quotations, and similar data to customer, as required.
15. Responds to customers’ request via telephone or email.


EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND:
Exposure and familiarity with Naval Correspondence and Records Management Practices and Joint Instructions governing Department of Defense (DOD) identifications cards and military benefits for a minimum of one year.

Possess familiarity with soft skills such as interpersonal skills, teamwork, positive attitude, time-management and a strong work ethic, demonstrated for a minimum of one (1) year experience. Have a minimum of one year with strong oral communication skills in individual and group settings. Ability to exchange ideas, obtain pertinent information, and discuss alternative/impacts with personnel of a wide range of ranks and positions.
Be able to read, write, and articulate the English language fluently and be understood.
Possess a basic degree of knowledge (minimum of one (1) year) and ability to manipulate data in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Share Point systems.

EDUCATION:
High school education (GED will not be accepted).
