Location: Apalachicola (Franklin County)
We re seeking a compassionate Counselor to provide individual and group counseling in our outpatient program. This full-time role offers the opportunity to support adults on their path to recovery while working with a dedicated nonprofit team that values community impact, collaboration, and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
-Conduct individualized biopsychosocial assessments and develop evidence-based treatment and intervention plans with measurable goals.
-Provide individual, group, and family counseling focused on substance use, behavioral health, and emotional wellness.
-Maintain thorough and timely clinical documentation, including assessments, progress notes, and service reports.
-Collaborate with clinical colleagues to staff cases, share insights, and ensure continuity of care.
-Coordinate with community partners and service providers to connect clients with additional supports and resources.
-Submit reports, documentation, and referrals accurately and within required timelines.
Qualifications:
-Education:* Master s degree* in a Social or Behavioral Science field (required).
-Experience:* At least two years of counseling experience* if the degree is in an unrelated field.
-Preferred:* Licensure under Chapter 491, F.S.* (LCSW, LMHC, or Psychologist).
-Skills: Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
-Knowledge: Familiarity with nonprofit services, confidentiality standards, and evidence-based counseling approaches.
