Job Overview
We are seeking a Korean/English speaking detail-oriented and proactive Material Planner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the flow of materials through our supply chain, ensuring that production schedules are met efficiently and effectively. This role requires a strong understanding of logistics, warehouse operations, and lean manufacturing principles. The Material Planner will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to procure necessary materials and maintain optimal inventory levels.

II-1. General Description

1) Manage material supply chain to meet production requirements and operational needs.

2) The material planner places appropriate purchase orders to suppliers for the needed resources.

II-2. Key Roles and Responsibilities

Material Planning:

1) The primary responsibility is to manage supply line material while meeting production needs.

2) Issue purchase order to supplier based on terms and lead time.

3) Maintain appropriate material inventory level based on safety stock and component level.

4) Reports potential short stock issues and remedy plan in daily production meeting.

5) Ensure materials arrives on-time and properly establishes appropriate inventory levels for the supply chain.

6) Support Service Production by placing appropriate orders for service related material

7) Managing engineering changes and build-out schedules to minimize obsolescence.

8) Expedite part shortages with shortage root cause investigation and resolution. Utilizes expedite shipping methods through manager approval process for addressing potential short stock issues.

9) Provide direct material payable documentation and detail.

II-3. Job Requirements

Korean/English speaker

II-3-1. Work Experience

1) Manufacturing and production environment

2) Business administration and logistics

3) Knowledgeable of shipping procedures and requirements

II-3-2. Education

1) BS Business Administration, Logistics, or Operations Management

2) Adequate computer software skills or equivalent training

II-3-3. Knowledge Skills and Abilities

1) Strong autonomous ability to problem solving.

2) Able to work under pressure and independently.

3) Ability to communicate effectively, internally and externally, at all levels

4) Able to identify and resolve critical paths in the manufacturing processes.

5) Willing to make difficult and tough decisions.

6) SAP & WMS software
