Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Press Operator to join our client in the Greeneville area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating various types of presses and machinery, with a focus on quality control and precision. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to read blueprints, ensuring that production meets our high standards. The Press Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This will be a 1st shift position (7: 00am t0 4: 30pm), Monday-Thursday. Candidates must be flexible and able to work any additional days, extended hours, overtime, and weekends as needed.
$17.00 per hour with bonus opportunity once hired on to perm.
Responsibilities
Operate press machines, stamping presses, and CNC machines to produce high-quality parts and products. Set up machinery according to specifications. Conduct regular inspections of finished products using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure adherence to quality standards. Read and interpret blueprints and CAD drawings to understand production requirements. Perform routine maintenance on press equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation. Collaborate with team members on the assembly line to ensure efficient workflow and materials handling. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols within the manufacturing facility. Document production processes and maintain records for quality control purposes. Proven experience in a manufacturing or factory setting, specifically as a Press Operator or similar role. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience operating press brake machines, CNC lathes, CNC milling machines, and hand tools. Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and adjustments during production processes. Experience with welding, fabrication, assembly, and quality control practices is an asset. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment. Ability to lift heavy materials as required and work effectively within an assembly line structure.
