We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our client in Midway, TN for 3rd shift.
This role is vital to ensuring the efficient movement of goods, accurate inventory management, and timely order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse operations, shipping & receiving processes, and be proficient with various warehouse equipment and systems. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment.
Forklift experience required
Must be able to train on 1st shift, then move to 3rd shift.
1st shift- 7: 00am to 3: 30pm $17.00 per hour
3rd shift- 11: 00pm to 7: 30am $17.50 per hour
Duties
Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS)
Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and other material handling equipment
Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling orders accurately for delivery or transfer
Maintain inventory accuracy through stock replenishment, stock rotation, and cycle counts
Manage order fulfillment processes including order picking, packing, and staging for shipment
Ensure proper packaging to prevent damage during transit and comply with shipping standards
Operate warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks
Keep the shipping/receiving area clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations
Assist in warehouse distribution tasks as needed to support overall logistics operations
Experience
Prior experience in warehouse management, shipping & receiving, or distribution preferred
Proficiency with forklift operation, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers is highly desirable
Familiarity with warehouse management systems such as AS400 or similar platforms (e.G., MRPs)
Experience with scanners for inventory tracking and order processing
Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately
Knowledge of e-commerce fulfillment processes including picking & packing for online orders
Ability to operate a load & unload process efficiently while maintaining safety standards
Warehouse experience involving stock management, order fulfillment, packaging, and inventory control is a plus
