Job Description
Atwork is looking for a Spring Operator for a Company located in Jefferson City, TN.
**Must be able to train on 1st shift.
Responsibilities
Reads blueprint or job order for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions such as fixtures, feed rates, speeds, and determines sequence of operations. Moves controls to position tool and workpiece in relation to each other, and to set specified feeds or speeds. Observes operation of machine and verifies conformance of machined workpiece to specifications. Loads spring grinder when required. Sets up and operates machines and other similar equipment in department (barrel washing, oil dipping, heat setting, and grinding machine). Responsible for daily paperwork. Responsible for light preventive maintenance. Checks parts with Quality Control gages and other measuring devices. Gives attention to detail, neatness and accuracy to ensure quality and customer requirements are being met. Must be able to function under pressure and strict deadlines. Must be able to exercise good judgment and make decisions. Required to clean and maintain 5s process at all times. Required to help others out when caught up. Comply with company policies and safety regulations. Continuously strive to improve the quality system compliance by initiating action to prevent occurrence of any non conformities relating to the product, process and quality system. Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and quality system. Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels. Verify the implementation of solutions. Stop production when non-conformances occur and notify Supervisor. Represent the needs of the customer in internal functions. Schedule:
8 hour shift Monday to Friday Second Shift * Must be able to train on 1st* Weekends as needed
