Job descriptionJob SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our suppliers meet the quality standards necessary for our manufacturing processes. You will work closely with suppliers to implement quality assurance measures, conduct root cause analysis, and ensure compliance with industry standards such as IATF 16949: 2016. Your expertise in quality management and supplier management will be critical in maintaining the integrity of our supply chain.General Description1) To provide supplier development & process support to suppliers2) Ensure supplied component adherence to design requirementsKey Roles and Responsibilities1) Perform supplier audit activities including but not limited to design, reliability and functions of related manufactured parts and components.2) Supplier development activities.3) Participate in supplier evaluation meeting.4) Reduce supplier PPM5) Organize activities related to new part introduction including EWO.6) Work with production facility to determine Root Cause Analysis of quality issues.7) Maintain 100% on time PPAP submissions between company and supply base.Job Requirements1. Work Experience 1-3 years experience in an materials environment preferred but not required2) Previous Engineering experience desired, preferably in an automotive environment.EducationHigh School DiplomaCollege degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience and trainingKnowledge Skills and Abilities1) Ability to use various Microsoft based programs and or ERP programs2) Excellent interpersonal skills.3) Ability to analyze complex data.4) Ability to work with various disciplines5) Strong communication skills.6) Knowledge of AIAG standards7) Ability to read and understand technical drawings8) Travel-Required as need for supplier compliance requirements.Join us in ensuring the highest quality standards are met throughout our supply chain while fostering strong relationships with our suppliers.
