Water Safety Ambassador - INTERVIEWING NOW
Seasonal position whose primary function is to ensure guest safety.

1. Perform lifeguard duties.
2. Clean park areas as assigned.
3. Attend weekly in-service meetings.
4. Must attend 4 hours of in-services meetings each month.
1. English comprehension in written and spoken form.
2. Ellis & Associates Lifeguard certification.
3. Ability to swim 200 yards.
4. Ability to tread water with no use of hands consecutively for 2 minutes.
5. Ability to retrieve a 10 pound brick from the bottom of the pool, and bring it to surface level.
6. Ability to perform lifesaving practices.
7. Maintain good working relationship with fellow employees and the general public.
Work Environment This job operates outdoors in summer weather conditions. Factors will include chlorine, noise, and constant distractions. Potential use of equipment includes, but is not limited to: portable radios, PA systems, telephones, and safety equipment.

This is largely an active role with exposure to sun and high outdoor temperatures. Eye protections, sunscreen, and universal precautions are mandatory.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a seasonal position with variable hours as determined by the Water Safety Supervisor. Evenings, weekends, and holidays are expected.
